CEFOSAN is a broad spectrum antibiotic with activity against of gram positive and gram negative organisms. It is highly stable in the presence of beta lactamase enzymes. CEFOSAN is used in treatment of urinary tract infections, otitis media, acute bronchitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis and gonorrhoea. CEFOSAN acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Lack of bacterial cell wall results in death due to lysis of bacteria
